Since its creation and long before any environmental recommendation was issued, the Royal Ostend Golf Club has been paying every effort to protect the beautiful dunes and their original fauna and flora.
Since the very beginning, all cutting, scraping and watering have been strictly confined to those parts of the grounds where play takes place. The original surrounding nature has been preserved in every way.
Nowadays more than ever, every intervention on the course is executed in due conformity with ecological regulations and recommendations. The club is proud to present to its visitors the result of more than 100 years of untouched nature. Between shots the players, therefore, are able to admire the many typical species of plants and birds populating the Belgian dunes.
